My First Month in Quart de Poblet
Spain welcomed me warmly, and I was fortunate to meet wonderful people here. During my first days, I took the time to get to know the area and the team at the organization. Quart de Poblet is a peaceful, quiet, and safe place, and I truly enjoy walking around its streets and soaking in the atmosphere.
I work at a youth center where my main task is to come up with and lead activities for teenagers. I really enjoy this because I’m constantly surrounded by different people, and I feel great being part of this community. We always have fun and productive time together: we organize dance classes, record videos and podcasts, do creative workshops, and sometimes even host cooking masterclasses.
Right now, we are preparing activities for children for the “Quart de Nit” event, which will be Halloween-themed. I’ll be running workshops on making headbands and masks. In addition to that, there will be theater performances, movie screenings, a costume parade, face painting, and a masterclass of making badges (chapas).
The project also involves team-building meetings, such as ecological initiatives or cultural development sessions, or simply gathering around a cozy table. One of the things I love most about Erasmus+ is the chance to meet people from different countries, creating a true International Society.
This experience has been invaluable for me, and I’m very grateful to Spain and Amics for this opportunity. I’m excited for what’s yet to come!
