Closing a Year

As my time in Spain has finished and I have returned my country almost a month ago. I find myself reflecting on this incredible journey—one filled with growth, challenges, and unforgettable moments. What started as an exciting opportunity to explore a new culture, engage in meaningful work, and step outside of my comfort zone has now become a collection of memories that I will carry with me forever.

Living in Valencia was more than just an experience; it was a journey. I learned to adapt a new culture without knowing the language, adapt to different ways of thinking, and embrace the unexpected. From the crowded streets of Valencia to the quiet moments of sunrises in the beach, every experience added something valuable to my personal and professional growth.

One of the most important lessons I take with me is the power of intercultural exchange. Working with diverse teams, engaging with local communities, and seeing firsthand how different perspectives can come together to create impact has reinforced my belief in the value of collaboration.

Of course, no journey is without its difficulties. There were moments of doubt, times when the language barrier felt overwhelming, and days when adapting to new surroundings seemed like a challenge too big to tackle. But with each struggle came resilience, and with each obstacle, a new level of understanding. I learned to trust myself more, to be patient with the process, and to embrace the discomfort that comes with growth.

Beyond the places I visited and the projects I worked on, it was the people who truly made this experience unforgettable. The friendships formed, from all over the world (literally), and the colleagues who became real friends all of them played a important role in shaping my time here. Whether it was a deep conversation over a beer, a shared laugh during a project, or a simple gathering with people, these connections are what I will cherish the most.

As I close this chapter, I look ahead with excitement and gratitude. Valencia has left a lasting mark on me, and while I may left physically, the experiences and lessons will stay with me wherever I go. This is not a goodbye, but rather a ‘see you later’—because I know that the connections I have built and the growth I have experienced will continue to influence my path moving forward.

To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the inspiration. Until we meet again!
