January-February

In January, after a long time, I finally got to see my family again. I flew to Costa Rica for two weeks to visit my sister and it was a wonderful time. I saw so many animals and truly enjoyed being with my family again. Even though saying goodbye was a bit difficult, I quickly got back into my daily routine upon my return.

The week after I came back, I started my activity: “Let’s Chat!” This is an activity where I teach English to children aged 10 to 13. On Tuesdays, I teach in Puerto and on Thursdays, I teach in Sagunto, each for one hour. The first lesson was a bit challenging because I couldn’t accurately assess the children’s language skills. However, by the second lesson, I had prepared better and it went much more smoothly. I was quite nervous since this is an activity I lead on my own. However, once I started, my nervousness faded and I felt more confident. I am looking forward to the upcoming lessons and the challenges they bring. I try to incorporate as many different games and activities as possible to make learning fun for the children.

Additionally, the Fallas has started in Puerto de Sagunto, which is something completely new for me. It was amazing to see so many people out on the streets, celebrating. I was especially fascinated by the traditional clothing, which is so colorful and beautiful.

Furthermore, I also helped out at the Mangetsu Festival in Casal Jove. It was very exciting to see how many people attended and how successful the event was.

Overall, January and February were exciting and enriching months for me, filled with family time, new experiences and personal growth.
