Summer Camp Experience

The month of July, just like all the previous ones, was exciting, fun, and unforgettable — full of bright and memorable moments. This month, we had the Holi Run twice. We threw colored powder into the air, and by the end, everyone’s clothes were covered in bright colors. It was such a fun and joyful experience!

Since this year’s theme at the camp was everything related to nature, ecology, pollution, the sea, the ocean, and marine animals, all the crafts we made were also connected to this topic. We made different sea animals out of modeling clay, paper turtles, played games related to the theme, drew pictures, and made masks. We had lots of outdoor activities and went to the swimming pool twice a week.

On one of the days, we had a themed celebration where all the children came dressed in costumes, each with their own character. We had a disco and karaoke that day. We also went to an activity called Animal Jump, where the children jumped on trampolines for two hours. It was really funny and entertaining.

In the last week, we went on a field trip to the museum Ciudad de las Ciencias in Valencia. We learned about various topics related to science, chemistry, and physics, and we watched a theater performance that explained how different discoveries and inventions were made.

On the final day, we had contests where the children sang, danced, performed magic tricks, and told jokes. As a treat, everyone got ice cream.

Overall, I want to say that I’m truly grateful for this five-week experience working at the children’s camp. Children have such sincere, pure, and bright energy.

I genuinely enjoyed communicating with the kids, and honestly, I really loved every moment of working and spending time at the camp. Each child was so unique and interesting. It was very touching when some of the children gave me their drawings and handmade crafts.
