September
These have been weeks full of new things to discover. At the beginning of the month I arrived in Quart de Poblet as a volunteer for the museum project.
After meeting my new roommates I visited them in their respective museums to see how the volunteer tasks work. When they assigned me my first tasks, I began volunteering at the Lonja de la Seda, a monument from the late 15th century that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There my job is to guide visitors, giving them information and controlling the entry. Also, two days a week, I’m at the Palentològic, which has recently been renovated and has new technological features like interactive screens and virtual reality glasses. My job is specifically in the room where the virtual reality glasses are, to ensure they are working properly.
Aside from the volunteering work, over the past few weeks, I have had time to explore Quart and the city of València, where I have walked through beautiful parks and art museums, which I love.
