August in Valencia: quiet days and a special visit

August in Valencia had a slower rhythm. With many locals away on holiday, the city felt a bit emptier — quieter streets, shorter queues, and a softer kind of energy in the air. I continued my routine, spending the first half of the week at La Lonja de la Seda and the last two days at the Paleontological Museum. Both places have become familiar environments where I feel comfortable and part of the team.

This month didn’t bring big events or new challenges, but that was exactly what made it special. After many busy months, it was nice to enjoy a calmer pace and appreciate everyday life — morning walks through the city center, long summer evenings, and moments of peace at the beach.

The highlight of August was definitely my sister’s visit. After six months apart, seeing her again in Valencia felt truly heartwarming. We spent a few lovely days exploring the city together, revisiting my favorite spots, and discovering new ones. Sharing this chapter of my life with her made me realize how much I’ve grown and how this experience has shaped me.August may have been quiet, but it was full of warmth — in the weather, in the city, and in the moments spent with someone I love. Sometimes, slowing down is the best way to appreciate how far you’ve come.
