My october

This month I continued to adapt better and better. First of all, I was introduced to the mayor of Quart de Poblet and I was able to discuss my integration into Spanish life, but also within Quart de Poblet and my impressions.

During my work time at QDN, we prepared for Halloween, which was a great experience because I was able to share conversations with the younger ones since I was ‘the French girl’ and they were very curious, so I was able to improve my Spanish while talking and having fun with them. With in the team it self, I am better able to communicate with everyone and I have expanded my vocabulary! I also had a picnic to meet the other volunteers with Amics.

During my free time, I was able to do quite a few things, like going to shops, which allowed me to explore more of the center of Valencia, I signed up at the gym, visit museums, go to other clubs, and make new friends. I also went to see a concert by a French singer who was doing a showcase in Valencia, and I also met a famous Spanish actor, Arturo from La Casa de Papel. In the town square, there were lots of paella and I went there with a friend, it was very good ! I also tried some cookies that everyone was recommending (I understand why now). And above all, I was able to experience my first Halloween in Spain and I loved it because I did it with the young people in QDN, but also in Quart de Poblet because there was a small concert, and with my friends in a club, and I loved dressing up, it was really funny.

Overall, I have integrated better, I am starting to do more things to get the most out of this experience here, and I love it!
