Ruralship: Daily life (May2025)

In May 2025 we welcomed 33 young people aged 13–17 from Spain, Hungary and Finland to Moraira, staying at Alberg La Marina. Throughout the week, participants explored wellbeing, teamwork and intercultural learning as part of the Ruralship programme. The exchange began with welcome activities, team-building and “Who is Who?” sessions that helped the group connect across languages and cultures. Young people shared their daily life realities in each country and discovered what they have in common.

The core of the programme focused on wellbeing workshops delivered by all three national teams, complemented by creative sessions such as bracelet-making, sports activities prepared by each country, and evening cultural programmes. Every night one group led a cultural event, from Spanish traditions to Hungarian and Finnish games, dances and food. These activities helped participants strengthen friendships and gain confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

The exchange also included Europe Day celebrations on 9 May, an open space for fun-fair activities, free evenings and moments for reflection. Participants took time to prepare their Youthpass certificates and evaluate their learning at the end of the week. The result was a powerful experience of rural youth mobility, international cooperation and personal growth—an unforgettable journey for everyone involved.
