My November

November went by in a blink but as I am looking back at it, a lot happend! My workshop started, I had my on-arrival training and the big event of november, the Splash, took place at my work.

At the casal jove I was able to organise my own workshop. With ten children we are baking some sweet things together every week. The kids are very motivated each time. Exept when it comes to cleaning up… :))) But I’m getting to know them more and they are very nice and cheerful persons! I’m having a lot of fun doing this workshop!

During 4 days (2 days of travel), I had my on-arrival training, which took place in Benicàssim, only a few kilometres north of Puerto de Sagunto.  It was a very short time, but packed to the brim with activities. We got some information about ESC, volunteering in Spain, etc. It was an exhausting week but luckily it was with 40 other volunteers, all from the Valencian Community! I met a lot of people, whom some I alreday met again in Valencia!

On my way to the on-arrival training, I saw how the christmas trees on the plazas in Valencia where being set up. Later on, I went again during night to see Valencia in its christmas decorations. It is really beautiful when everything lights up!

In Puerto de Sagunto, every year there is an event organised, named Splash, where authors of comics come and bring their books to present or sell or sign. A lot of activities next to this are being held, also workshops and games for the children. On the last Sunday a run was organised too, in the name of children’s rights. A lot of people came during these three days and even the minister of Spain for the youth!
