February

In February, the Mangetsu festival took place in the casal jove in Puerto de Sagunto. It is an event about japanese culture and everything related to it. Many things were organised for the visitors: stands of all sorts, dancing, singing and contests. Of course, fireworks were present also at this festival. We are in Valencia.

I saw the Cridá, the official opening ceremony of Fallas, the one month lasting celebration. I never saw so many people in one place. Everyone was excited for the Cridá and singing and chanting in their groups of Fallas all wearing different colours, yellow, blue, red, etc. The show was full with singing and fireworks, a lot. It was amazing to watch.

With Fallas beginning, people in the streets are in a festive mood all the time and once outside all you can hear are firecrackers. But I also saw more than once fireworks which are a little nicer to watch and are full of colours. Furthermore, the ninots that are build all year round, to be in the end burned, can be visited and you can vote for your favorite ones, one of the adults and one of the childrens.

Beside this, I started finally again my baking workshop. There are fewer children so we can do bakeries that can require a little more decoration.
