the May summer sun
May in Silla was full of adventures and discoveries. Starting with the training, where I met wonderful people from all over the world, I visited beautiful places and we developed some truly interesting workshops, especially related to the field I am studying: art therapy and art-based education.
At the Occupational Centre in Tola, where I am carrying out my ESC project, I have been working on the preparation of a mural. The participants developed their own composition based on the shared question, “What is my safe place?” From there, we created a draft that was later turned into a graphic design, which will help guide us as we paint the mural in June.
We also completed the community garden project, where we were building scarecrows in collaboration with a preschool in Silla.
I am very grateful for the trust and responsibility I have been given. I am even happier that, through this project, I can continue to learn and develop skills that are different from those I had already acquired in my previous work.
Let’s see what surprises June will bring!
